Founded in 1985 to service the growing needs for office based biopsy of the prostate, ODL now has a prostate patient database of over 250,000 cases. We have expanded our services to include OB/GYN, GI and ambulatory surgery centers.

We introduced transrectal FNA biopsy of the prostate utilizing liquid phase fixation. In collaboration with an internationally renowned uropathologist, we developed the Gleason grading of prostate cancer using the FNA technique. A non-toxic proprietary fixative allows for dual histologic and cytologic exam of prostate biopsies. The dual analysis reduced equivocal results by 50% and increased diagnostic yield by 3%.
